FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who does Zeskind's work with?

Our Millwork division manufactures and distributes wholesale building products exclusively for contractors, installers, investors, developers, and other members of the building community. We are not licensed contractors, and do not offer installation of the products we sell, but can provide homeowners with contractor referrals as needed. We have a retail Hardware store which caters to the general public, selling many types of building products that we keep in stock. We also repair windows and screens that are brought into our store.

Why does Zeskind's have a Teams sales structure?

While our Outside Sales Reps have always offered excellent service, we realized we needed an Inside Sales Rep for customers to have someone available during our most busy times. By having a dedicated team to service our customers, we’re able to return quotes faster, place orders and clear payments more quickly, and provide quick answers to easy questions by having a dedicated person sitting at the Zeskind’s office ready to take a phone call or email.

I have a custom window, door, or piece of moulding and would like it exactly duplicated. What is the process?

As custom millwork products are complicated to manufacture, we must see an item that requires duplication in-person. For a quote, we can provide pricing through email if you have a good picture or drawing of the item, with dimensions, and a list of specifications you would like us to meet (such as quantity, wood species, etc.) To move forward with an order, we will need a physical sample of the product to be duplicated. Please note, requests for such items as duplicated moulding profiles may arrive in excess of your requested quantity, as manufacturing allows for a “waste factor.” All custom material is non-returnable, and must be signed off on before production begins.

I have a question about my account balance, credit limit, and/or payment. Who should I call?

If you have an account payment to make, questions regarding a wire transfer, or have a question regarding invoicing, please email billing@zeskinds.com. If you have more specific product-related questions about your order, please reach out to your dedicated Sales Team and they can help review your invoice and answer any questions you might have.

Why do I have to approve and sign-off for some orders?

Get it right the first time, every time. Building materials can be very expensive, and sometimes have extended lead-times. Zeskind’s representatives want to ensure your project gets the attention it needs with regard to accuracy, and meets all the requirements for your project.

What are your criteria for offering field measurement?

Our Outside Sales Representatives are available to meet with an installer or project manager on-site for field measure. The job must be A) ready to be ordered B) openings must be accessible without a ladder and C) security boards must be removed. If you have a historic tax credit project, you must provide your tax credit paperwork and Formstone must be removed before our visit to ensure quote accuracy.

It's the day before my delivery. Can I make a change to an order?

For any in-stock material, please call your Inside Sales Representative before 1pm on the day before delivery. We will make changes/additions to your existing order provided we have the material in inventory, and can safely place it on the delivery truck.

I have scheduled a delivery but I need to change the date.

Please call our Shipping Department at 1-844-4-MILLWORK and we will assist in re-scheduling your delivery.

I would like the delivery date for my special order material.

If you have not received a call from our Shipping Department to schedule delivery, that means your order has not yet arrived at Zeskind’s loading dock, or it is still in production at our door or custom shop. Please call your Inside Sales representative and they will provide you with the most accurate arrival date possible.

What are your rules and policies for delivery?
Zeskind’s offers Tailgate Delivery to your project. With direct truck access, we will place material inside a garage. A representative for the customer is required to be on-site to receive material and sign for the order. We take pictures of each delivery to ensure accuracy and provide future delivery confirmation. Drivers are not permitted inside a customer’s home, or to carry materials into a building or upstairs. This eliminates the possibility of property damage as millwork materials are usually oversized and very heavy.
