BIG
DOORS
Life and slide, multi-slide, and folding door styles, in vinyl, wood, wood-clad, steel and aluminum.
Pivot Doors
Pivot doors are unique in that they can be made much larger than conventional hinged doors, because the weight of the door is placed onto a pivoting rod that installs into the floor. The weight is distributed downward, and another pin at the top of the door holds it into the jamb. We can order pivot doors up to 5’ wide by 10’ tall in a single door slab.
Multi-Slide
Multi-slide doors have multiple panels that can be opened in different directions. We have several manufacturers who offer multi-slide doors, from the economical Jeld-Wen vinyl version, to the Andersen multi slide, to the Inicio all-aluminum and thermally broken option. We’ll cover any width, height or operation you can imagine.
Lift and Slide
Similar to multi-slide doors above, Lift and Slide doors often hang from the top of the jamb. They (like top-hanging folding systems) require significant engineering attention to the load bearing capabilities of the header above the door. However, with locking handles on each operating panel, the Lift and Slide will exceed the PG ratings of a multi-slide by far.
Folding
Folding doors are beautiful and make for wonderful pictures, but they can also present challenges for use in small spaces like sunrooms or small porches. Folding systems work really well with unlimited space on the exterior side of the opening. Since they fold outward, they need space to swing which eliminates space for furniture.
Standard Sliding Doors
Sliding patio doors are available in builder-vinyl, premium-vinyl, primed wood, and aluminum clad wood. They always come with sliding screens included, and most standard sizes have the options of blinds between the glass and multi-point locks.
